About me
I’m Charlie Jewett, also known as Chabizzel—or just Chab. I’m a portrait artist based in Southampton, and my work blends the bold energy of street art with the emotional depth of expressionist portraiture. I primarily use spray paints and acrylics, often incorporating stencils to create a unique mix that sits somewhere between fine art and urban influence.
Art, for me, is more than just visual—it’s therapeutic. I’m passionate about exploring how creativity can support mental health and act as a powerful tool for self-reflection. Whether I’m working on canvas or painting large-scale murals in public spaces, I aim to spark connection, inspiration, and a sense of community through my work.
Bringing art out of the gallery and into the streets is important to me. I believe art should be accessible, inclusive, and rooted in real human experience.
