I recently had the absolute pleasure of creating a new mural for Park Gate Primary School, and this one was something truly special.
The school reached out to me with an idea — they wanted an urban street art–inspired mural, drawing on the styles of Banksy and Mr. Brainwash. Together, we developed a concept that would bring both creativity and meaning to the heart of the school.
The finished piece shows two children pulling back a curtain to reveal a world bursting with colour, imagination, and positivity. Hidden within this bright and expressive space are the words:
Be Kind, Be Respectful, Be Honest, and Be Safe — the core values of the Park Gate Way.
This mural isn’t just about following rules; it’s about encouraging curiosity and creativity. It’s a reminder for students to let their imagination run free, to explore new ideas, and to always feel confident asking for support from their teachers when they need it.
I really enjoyed bringing this vision to life – Seeing the students’ reactions, hearing the kind words from parents, and knowing this artwork will brighten the school for years to come means so much to me.
